my friend says its the worst one of the final fantasy games, well storywise, he is like addicted to FF he played over 200+ hours per game, he didnt like XII cause it didnt have much of a romance theme other FF games had (FFVII- Cloud w/Aerith,Tifa FFVIII- ermm gunblade guy and teh brunette(didnt actually play it myself), FFIX- i guess Zidane and Garnett) well this excludes the non 3-D FF games and FFXI teh online game

I'd say its pretty decent. The game play is actually fun, if you don't abuse the gambit system that is. if you don't like it, then you're not a true ff fan!!!! >=)

It wasn't turn based, not even remotely turned based.

How can a storyline from SquareEnix be worse than that of Final Fantasy Tactics Adv.?

Storyline was ok with Tactics but it WAS FUN, and still stayed a true FF game.

FFXII was boring like hell, I spent alot of time in "Real time Turn Base" watching them just stand there then do a sudden movement. The storyline was okay to good, but not FF to me ._., I mean the Newest FF game coming with will be Turn based, Real time too BUT AT LEAST, It does it in a fun style (and with all that cool junk) other then plainly watching my chars standing there doing nothing until it's their turn. There is a big difference waiting for your char to do something, WHEN it looks like I should be smashing buttons or something, and waiting for my turn to happen systematically and I enter a action on a target.

AT least make it Full Real Time or something.

I agree, if FF is going to RT then they should do something like Star Ocean has going.

hmm...yeah XII sort of disappointed me...look, when people criticised X, at least its storyline and music ROCKS!! but XII...well...its sort of just an abuse of graphics

Tactic =/= Tactic Adv. =o!! Tactics was good. Advanced was....lets say the main character's PoV was very confusing.

Lawl sef, X's animation was so sadly done DD: Is make kirby cry. Atleast make the characters have some different facial expressions, once in a while.

The story in ff12 wasnt too bad. I kinda liked the break from the whole lovey dovey era for now. But I also agree with the whole Real Time play. It wasnt like I thought it would be. At least it lasted for me until the end of the game. <<

the thing in X is the storyline...its simply awesome...thats what attracted me... for RPGs I look out for gameplay, storyline and music....storyline being the most important xD followed by gameplay....so if a game have an avearage storyline it must be accompanied by awesome gameplay, or awesome storyline followed by average gameplay...for X, its awesome storyline and music but average gameplay. For XII, its average everything -__- for TA its good gameplay average storyline xD tactics is pure gameplay and storyline...its cool xD

well it might be longer than 08....rumor around is it could take idk 2012....2010.....2009....2011...eh etc.....but it was originally suppose to be released one year from the japanese version...which came out 12/15/07

Well I--- Like it. The only one I really didn't care for but still played was Final Fantasy VIII.
=3 the only one I haven't played ish six...but I shall remedy that.

Heh.. I have played every Final Fantasy released to date- not counting Crisis Core. I will be getting that Friday, though, so I can continue with this statement. VIII was the most enjoyable for me- straying from the usual Final Fantasy that was set in the old days- even more than VII- and it was a unique and fun experience. The game itself, was quite easy, which would be the main fault I had with it. The story, which was layered, was my favorite- as well as the cast of characters being more enjoyable. Nothing has compared to my experience with VIII so far- but I am hoping, because no matter how much I love it- I would love to find something better.

Sorry for going off-topic. As for XII- I wouldn't say it sucks. I, too, haven't found a real Final Fantasy that was terrible- though I did hate, HATE, X- and XII was no different. Plus the little side missions of hunting was so much fun, I wouldn't continue with the story until I had to because it was needed to unlock more. The battle system- which caught a lot of bad reviews- wasn't bad really. It was turn-based, but you got to move around, so it keeps you intertained. It's worth a play.

Which, you probably have, since this is an old post. Just really wanted to comment on VIII. <3
